12.05.19 - Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin - Mtech VictoryNürburgring, Germany, 19 May 2012 - Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin defied the odds and basked in the glory of victory at the Nürburgring today after a hard fought win in their MTECH Ferrari 458 against a strong challenge from the numerous Porsches looking to win on home soil.

Sailesh Bolisetti and Phil Glew similarly worked hard for their maiden GT4 win together in the Lotus Sport UK Evora GT4.

130512 Sainz ThumbAnother race, another change of championship lead - the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series continued its ultra-competitive season at the Pau Grand Prix today with Carlos Sainz regaining control of the title thanks to a second-place finish behind Italy’s Raffaele Marciello.

There has been a new series leader after every round so far this year; Carlin driver Sainz now enjoys a three-point advantage over yesterday’s frontrunner, his team-mate Jazeman Jaafar, who finished third today behind Marciello and Sainz.

Jazeman Jaafar this afternoon regained the lead of the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 International Series thanks to a stirring drive to second place in the opening race of the Pau Grand Prix weekend.

The overall winner was Italy’s Raffaele Marciello, one of the FIA Euro F3 class runners.

Jazeman Jaafar set a blistering pace in the blistering temperatures of Pau this afternoon, the Malaysian Carlin driver more than a tenth of a second quicker than his closest rival in free practice ahead of the Pau Grand Prix, the third meeting of the season.

Jaafar turned on the pace right from the start of this afternoon’s second session. The 19-year-old the first man to break the 1m 12s barrier around the 2.7km street track, with a 1m 11.784s lap.
