The WP Racing team can expect a busy weekend ahead as they travel to three separate championships.
After a two week break the Clio Cup returns to action at Croft in North Yorkshire. The current championship leader, Josh Cook (Bath), will be hoping to tighten his grip at the top of the standings by increasing his unbroken run of six straight podiums. James Colburn (Worthing), Cooks closest rival, will be looking to continue his form following a fantastic performance at Oulton Park which saw him climb into second place.
Pre-event practice at Croft will take place on Friday, 27th June, with qualifying following on Saturday, 28th June, at 15.05. Both races will be contested on Sunday, 29th June, with round nine beginning at approximately 12.40 and round 10 scheduled to commence around 16.20 ITV4 and ITV4 HD will screen all of the racing action live with online streaming at www.itv.com/btcc
The S1 MSA Karts will be at Larkhall Scotland over the weekend, and the weather is looking like it will have a big impact on the racing action. With rain forecast an interesting race is sure to be on the cards.
Knockhill hosts round four of the BSB championship. With practice sessions having already taken place Buildbase BMW has been setting the pace with Ryuichi Kiyonari holding off Shane Byrne by 0.005s.
The current championship leader, Byrne, has been in fantastic form this season so far accumulating 145 points. However Byrne is anticipating that more riders will be challenging for the win this weekend stating;
“I think the nature of the circuit at Knockhill means there will be more riders in the mix on Sunday. My objective, though, is the same as always and that is to try to win both races."
Last season saw Byrne take the chequered flag twice at Knockhill and undoubtedly the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki rider will be pushing hard to make sure history repeat itself. Whatever happens this weekend, you can expect high drama and edge-of-your-seat, adrenaline fuelled action.
Check out all the live qualifying on Saturday at 16:00 till 18:00 and the live race day action on Sunday at 12:30 both on British Eurosport 2.
