Fans of the Mobil Service Centre sponsored Avon Tyres British GT Championship and Cooper Tires British Formula 3 International Series have the chance to vote for their favourite driver of 2012 in the Mobil Service Centre Master of the Year Award, launched today.
Five drivers from British Formula 3, as well as five from the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, are shortlisted following their nomination during the course of the season as Mobil Service Centre ‘Master of the Weekend’.
Now it is up to the public to vote via Facebook for their favourite - the winner (or the winner’s team) receives £5000-worth of racing fuel for their 2013 British F3 or GT campaign. The five British F3 drivers in the running are Jazeman Jaafar (Carlin), Hannes van Asseldonk, Pipo Derani, Felix Serralles (all Fortec) and Spike Goddard (T-Sport) and are sparring votes against their British GT award-winning counterparts, Steve Chaplin (Complete Racing), James May (APO Sport), Hector Lester (Rosso Verde), Duncan Cameron (MTECH) and Daniele Perfetti (Motorbase).
“We're now at the point where we ask the public, fans and supporters (and other drivers) to vote for their Mobil Service Centre Master of the Year award,” said competition spokesperson and WP Motorsport Consultant, Lisa Crampton.
“The driver with the most ‘likes’ in our Masters Album will win £5000-worth of fuel towards their 2013 F3 or GT campaign courtesy the partnership between Mobil Service Centre, WP Motorsport and British F3/GT. If the driver does not run in the championship next year, his team will receive the prize.”
You can vote in the Mobil Service Centre Master of the Year competition at www.facebook.com/mobilservicecentre Voting closes on 28 October, with the winner announced on 2 November.
