As the third round of the British Superbike Championship looms at Oulton Park over the May Bank Holiday weekend (2/3/4 May) several of the leading contenders head to the Cheshire circuit this Friday (24 April) for an official test.
Double Brands Hatch race winners JG Speedfit Kawasaki arrive at Oulton Park ready to carry their momentum into the test, however James Ellison has his opposition lining up to ensure he doesn't hold on to the top of the timesheets.
PBM Kawasaki's Shane 'Shakey' Byrne celebrated a win at Oulton Park in the corresponding round last season and both the defending champion and his team-mate Stuart Easton will be pushing Ellison all the way.
The all-new Milwaukee Yamaha makes its first appearance at Oulton Park on Friday as Josh Brookes bids to add to his podium tally after the official test, whilst the test will mark Broc Parkes' first appearance at the challenging Cheshire circuit.
Buildbase BMW's Ryuichi Kiyonari narrowly missed out on his first podium finish of the season at Brands Hatch and the triple champion will be using the test in a bid to target a repeat performance of his wins from last season.
Tyco BMW will be back on track as they bid to take further steps forward ahead of the Bank Holiday races, both Tommy Bridewell and Michael Laverty keen to close the deficit in their quest for podium finishes.
Jenny Tinmouth will use the test as a foundation ahead of her home round of the season; the Honda Racing rider bidding to secure her first points of the season alongside Jason O'Halloran.
Billy McConnell (Smiths Racing BMW), Taylor Mackenzie and Jack Kennedy (Team WD-40), Luke Mossey and Howie Mainwaring (Quattro Plant Kawasaki) plus Jakub Smrz (Lloyds British Ducati) and Josh Waters (Bennetts Suzuki) will all also be on track this Friday.
The test features sessions for the support classes too, including riders from the Motorpoint British Supersport, Pirelli National Superstock 1000 and 600 Championships plus the Ducati TriOptions Cup.
