Harry Tinckbnell Rockingham F3 ThumbnailWins for Harry Tincknell and Jack Harvey today at Rockingham set the seal on an excellent weekend for the Carlin team in the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 International Series. Tincknell took the honours in the morning’s reverse-grid race to score his maiden win of the season, while Harvey dominated the afternoon feature race to claim his second victory of 2012 and re-establish his championship hopes.

Alex Lynn Rockingham 2012 ThumbnailAlex Lynn stole the show at Rockingham this afternoon in final Cooper Tires British Formula 3 testing ahead of the weekend’s championship races, the Fortec driver beating the field by a seven-tenth margin.

The Essex 18-year-old professed himself pleased with his and the team’s efforts at the damp and blustery Northamptonshire speedway, which echoed his session-topping performance in testing there in dry conditions last month.

130512 Sainz ThumbAnother race, another change of championship lead - the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series continued its ultra-competitive season at the Pau Grand Prix today with Carlos Sainz regaining control of the title thanks to a second-place finish behind Italy’s Raffaele Marciello.

There has been a new series leader after every round so far this year; Carlin driver Sainz now enjoys a three-point advantage over yesterday’s frontrunner, his team-mate Jazeman Jaafar, who finished third today behind Marciello and Sainz.

Jazeman Jaafar this afternoon regained the lead of the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 International Series thanks to a stirring drive to second place in the opening race of the Pau Grand Prix weekend.

The overall winner was Italy’s Raffaele Marciello, one of the FIA Euro F3 class runners.
